Superman brooch, silver set with diamonds

Hello everyone. I have another item I am stuck on. I could be way off with my details but here goes.
This in an unmarked silver brooch with the Superman House of El symbol. Set with clear and red old cut gemstones. I tested them with my cheapie diamond tester, the clear stones appear to be diamonds, but I'm not sure on the red, could be garnets or rubies, I don't get much of a reading from my tester.
The pin is brass and is probably a later repair.
So I feel stumped; unmarked silver of no real quality, old cut stones on a symbol first seen in 1933. Presumably I have a mistake somewhere?

 

It looks crude to me. I doubt it is a production item... not an officially sanctioned piece.

 

yours looks like the 1978 version.....when the Movie came out !!

 

To slightly go off track, I just saw that Margot Kidder has died. She played Lois Lane in the 1970s-1980s Superman films.

 

...........i always liked her quirky style....& voice !
