Sugar or salt shovel?

    Tiny. 3-5/8" long. French, Minerva, maker's mark too light to make out.

    I think I'll guess salt... aren't the little sugar ones usually rounder?

    Well, I should've Googled BEFORE I posted... the sugar shovels are often but not always rounder...

    Given my uncertainty, I myself would list/describe it as sugar/salt shovel.

    Regardless of the shape of the "bowl", I doubt something that short would be used for sugar. Salt is much more likely.

    I don't know it's purpose, but if I were collecting these sorts of things, this is a sweet example of what I'd probably purchase. I tend to like miniatures and smaller, more delicate things and this would fit the bill for me.

    Sometimes I don't read very carefully... less than 3 5/8 inches? Yes, salt!!!
