    Somewhere in between?

I have look at page after page of them, and still can't tell.
    There are no marks whatsoever.

This is probably an officers. It's a nice heavy one and may be the work of US Navy shore facility or sub/destroyer tender's molders. This may be why it's unmarked and solid. May be WWII and into 60s - 70s.

US Navy Officers Pin. Do a search for "Submarine Pin with 2 Dolphins"

That is a good option for a search! They are simply termed 'Dolphins' or 'Phins'. And there are various makers and various designs, some thin and some thicker with variations and some solid. :)

Alas, I have already done days of research on this pin - actually, weeks over the last few years.
And while that link was good, the back of mine is not like any of them.

It's not worth much unless it is silver, and this isn't, but I don't want to end up selling as real is it isn't.

    Hi Milt,
Too many bad images of dead friends. Do not like to talk about it.
