I recently acquired this figurine. I know I've seen it or something very similar many years ago. The marks on the bottom are a crown over an "N" and what looks like Limoges with another word in front of it. Any information of who designed it and when would be appreciated. It is porcelain, approximately 7.5" long and 5" high.

Not sure but the first word looks like Pate to me. Of course that is my opinion.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

There are attributions to several different factories that used a five-point crown over the letter "N." I didn't find any that also included the word "Limoges." So, not much help, but I tried!

The more I look at it I'm not sure it says Limoges. The last 3 letters are 'ges' but the letters before that aren't as clear. It could end in 'iges' (it looks like there might be a dot over the 'i') or possibly 'uges'. Do those fit with any of the factories that used the crown and "N"?

I didn't save the information... I did searches on "limoges" "crown" "n" -- and variations like "crown over n" then looked for pictures in which the mark looked similar.
