Style of this chair?

    Anyone have an idea of what style this chair wants to be? I know its not terribly old, probably from the late 60s or early 70s.

    It intrigued me and I got it fairly cheap, which is a good thing because after I took the pictures I clumsily snagged the caning and pricked it a bit.

    I want to say its Spanish or Italian influenced, but I'm not really sure. The round cushion is detached.

    I grew up calling them Savonarola Chairs, but they're also called X chairs. The design has been around since forever. The 60s is probably dead on.

    Yep, Savonarola. Looks more like 70s to me. Unusual to find one with a back.
