Strange (Chinese?) Old Jade Dragon(?) -- Help identifying/dating

    Anyone have any idea what this is?

    It has a 14K gold loop,though I think that was added in more recently



    The red deposits in the "eye" make me think that it could possibly be very old from looking at old Chinese jade. But I have no idea on what to search for, I've not found anything with the same from of mine to even continue researching.

    Any leads would be much appreciated!

    Looks like a snake or an eel, rather than a dragon.

    I think this could be the right direction, looks similar to the Koropepe pieces

    Many of them also have red on the eyes
