I bought a book and an estate sale here in my hometown a few months ago. It is titled The Story of the life of Queen Victoria by W. W. Tulloch, B. D.
    Revised by Her Majesty

    Edgewood Publishing Company

There is no publishing date on it the only date within the book is handwritten with a note as follows
    Miss Ada M Lerry,
    from her friend,
    Dr. JJ Poore
    Christmas
    1894

I have poked around trying to figure out if this is a first edition.

Does anyone know where I could go to find out more information on this book or does anyone have any knowledge of this book?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The part that says "Revised by Her Majesty" gives me pause, wondering whether an original edition would have that on the title page. But it might have. I am seeing some indication that this book might have been originally published in 1887 but am not sure. See this, for example:
https://books.google.com/books?id=V..."story of the life of queen victoria"&f=false

This listing from the Royal Collection Trust does seem to indicate that the 1887 edition says "Revised by her Majesty" in it. However, it also doesn't appear to be a full bibliographic entry. https://www.royalcollection.org.uk/...victoria-told-for-boys-and-girls-all-over-the

It just needs more research in order to confirm.

I doubt the story is complete as she didn`t die until 1901 well after the book was issued and they wouldn`t dare reveal things about her whilst she was still living.
Her first language was German BTW.
