    I think I found something. Very likely from Catawba Valley,NC. Decoration known as swirlware. There seems to be several major and other smaller makers of this type of ware so without a signature may be difficult to attribute.

    I was going to suggest Catawba Valley, NC but see you already found it. There are collectors of this specific type. While it helps to know who I believe you will be fine listing it as Catawba Valley. FYI, the swirls on the bottom is the result of using a wire to cut the clay off the potters wheel as it turned.
