Stone Bead Identification?

    I am hoping to identify the stones on this necklace. Would the black ones be onyx? The others I know are some type of stone but no clue what kind. It is from Mexico...the pendant is marked Taxco Mexico 925 and also has 3 in an eagle. The necklace is 18" around; the pendant is about 2 3/8" across. What about the design on the pendant...Mayan?     Those stones are what I call RPR - random pretty rock. They're probably all agates with names, but the money is most likely in the pendant.

    The pendant design may well be an abstraction of the Aztec calendar.

    The pendant is a pretty Aztec fantasy. The beads are different kinds of agate and the black beads are onyx. The necklace and the pendant didn't start out life together.
    Eagle 3 is for Taxco, FNM is listed in Hougart, but no specifics. It is one of the many Taxco makers.
