Still Life Signed VEF 68

Found a painting by British artist Victorine Foot that is signed with VEF ( signature not visible)

Her full name was Victorine Anne Foot, so not sure why signed with those initials.
I checked a website with hundreds of her paintings http://victorinefoot.co.uk/
and almost every one was signed with "Victorine Foot". Single examples signed with V. Foot, VA Foot and VS Foot. Again, no idea why the A or S initials.
So, I wonder if mine could be by her or by totally different artist.

 

Victorine sounds like one of those "We were hoping for a boy" names, which she may have resented and the variable middle initial is for a name she would rather have had instead.

 

Would think it is by someone else.
