Sterling Silver EB Compact Made in Germany U.S. Zone

    Sterling Silver with a decorated porcelain or bakelite plate on the front, markings inside read: 925 Sterling EB Made in Germany U.S. Zone. One compartment with original "puffet" and powder screen, mirror is detached and will need to be reapplied. Has a blue soft fabric pouch/sleeve/holder. Overall in wonderful shape, no idea when it was manufactured but it's at least vintage.

    This is the German equivalent of 'Made in occupied Japan', and dates it from 1945 until 1952.

    Maker possibly Engel Brothers.

    Aye! Selling is indeed where I intended, I had thought Engel Brothers but Emil Brink? I realize I need to upload a few more photos, I will in a few moments. I also have six other vintage compacts including an unused, still in the original box, gold "Love Pat" by Revlon.
