That square setting is very 1980s but it may be newer than that. Indonesian probably. Might be blue topaz.

Looks to be a DAVID YURMAN knock-off (if not actually signed by designer.)

Yes, my first thought was Bali, Indonesia. Not just the general style, but they work a lot with blue topaz.
There is a Javanese designer who now lives on Bali, I can't remember his name, but this could be his work.
And yes, it is very kewel.

Yeah - it looks like a Yurman knock off, and probably made in Bali. Not only is the workmanship under par, but it would have also had a 18k mark for the "gold" around the setting. His metal content marks are usually right next to, or over/under, each other. I work with YURMAN a lot.........too much.........

Lagos? Adam & Martucci is made there as well.

I see a lot of Yurman knock offs in jewellery auctions now, but they are all of the type with the gemstone mounted inside the ends, not on top of the ends like this one. Would this be an older design?
This is the type I see a lot:

That is from the Cable Classics Collection - for which Yurman is best known - but he does produce a myriad of other designs. I think the knock off in the OP is a try at the Carved Chain Collection.

BTW I call this a knock off - it can not legally be termed a counterfeit as it does NOT have the D.Y. mark or signature. No where on the piece (that I can see) does it claim to be Yurman. So this is a "valid" piece in its own right - just not a Yurman piece.

Look at contemporary ottoman/mughal/moghul/ethnic/tribal fashion jewelry by designers like David yurman, judith ripka, michael dawkins, barbara bixby - many of them sold lines on qvc which was knocked off by other manufacturers.

A valid piece in it's own right ^^^

I've seen commercial (qvc) jewelry like what's described above called "bridge jewelry"

They all make fine jewelry as well. I found an 18k dawkins bangle in original box in a kitchen drawer of an estate we did here. (!)

Not familiar with Dawkins, and this piece in not inline with Ripka or Bixby to my thinking, but yeah, all of them have "inspired" other, less expensive lines............

    Ebay search-wise, mansons :)

I know more fashion, mostly from 60s on, and never shopped qvc (or neiman marcus) so was really interested to find out that dawkins was an artisan who was commissioned by donna karan in the 80s... I'd seen his work, but only connected it to karan :)

He went on to design for qvc and now sells his own furnishings.
