Hi, What is the meaning of the "Standard *PLK*" mark on this mint julep cup? Given the maker I would imagine the cup is sterling or coin.
I googled and saw one reference that 925/1000 is called "sterling standard" so I'm thinking the "standard" mark means sterling, but I've not seen silver marked this way before.

    Thanks.

Coin silver, mid 19th century, made by Peter L. Krider, retailed by Kendrick...

Many thanks. I had misunderstood the mark and thought the maker was Kendrick.
