    Hi,
I've always liked Staffordshire figurines and picked up these for very cheap. The one has a broken piece on the side. I'm thinking these would be 1860s and made in England? No marks on them so I'm not sure if there is a way to find out who made them. I love the hat on the fellow holding the parrot and the painted clock on the other.
    They are 6" x & 3/4" and 5" x 7 1/2".
    Any information appreciated.

These are far less popular than they were a couple of decades ago so prices for most have come down a lot. There were also many reproductions around. You'd need a Staffordshire flatback expert to decide if these are period or later.

You might want to do some research into Samson

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmé_Samson

"The Samson wares were produced in hard-paste porcelain, while many of the originals would have been produced from soft-paste porcelain. The glazes utilized by the Samson firm were often glossy and somewhat glassy, the modeling stiffer, or wrong in scale, the decoration was often too heavy, and colors were often inaccurate."

Thanks folks. Yes, they don't seem as popular now, but I've always liked them. Some are quite bizarre but loveable.
The colours seem right to me but I'm not an expert.
Thanks for the link cluttered, I'll have a look at Samson.
