There are only two stamp marks on it which I don’t understand. Acid test states spoon is silver. Magnets roll off. Can anyone help please? Cheers Frank

Punches inside the bowl of a spoon are usually French. Their square shape (if French) would indicate plated.

The acid test can easily be misleading if the test does not get far enough into the piece. How did you do the test?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Cropped, turned & brightened image....top punch looks like a "G" and bottom I'm not sure, but does look like a smaller sized "G" on top of whatever that is in that punch also....

Gosh! That's gorgeous! I don't know these marks but someone here will. However, I wanted to add that I've found some beautiful French silverplate that sells in the price range of most sterling silver.

You might try for a higher resolution image of the marks, to my eye looks like you're enlarging them, making them a bit fuzzy. Your second pic, showing the back of the bowl shows the kind of detail that would help on the marks (every little raised bump and flaw in the shell very clear, as are the stems, leaf veins, and ribbon). From what I can see, does look like French silverplate is likely, perhaps a 'G' gram mark in one...
