Spear question

    I've seen this spear in my local antique mall. It's about 5' long, has a hand-forged point and a flat cutting edge on the other end.

    Is this anything interesting?

    That blanket looks interesting behind it.Sorry no help w/ the spear here-be nice if it was something John Brown's party carried at Harpers Ferry or a Zulu piece from Rorke's Drift.

    the Zulu prefer a one sided spear, but the Maasai use a 2 sided spear.
    it's usually much longer.....for protection against lions in the bush...

    this looks like a tourist made work rather than a vintage authentic one.... imo

    Yeah thanks again. Spears on the wall will probably have to be the basement man cave... so at $35 I'll probably pass.
