    Looks like a glass drop,copper wire wrap craft project. Bead shop class,girls scouts,etc.

    Yep. Glass drop/whatsit expoxied to some brass wire. Age ... anything from 40 years to last week. The oxidation on the wire makes me think older, but that can be done with chemical exposure either accidentally or deliberately.
