Looks similar to a Norah Welling stockinet molded face doll; however, most of them had more of a smile. Nowww there are many look-a-like Welling's dolls out there. Her dolls usually had a label sewed on the bottom of a foot. I have a Gillian Trotter's book on Norah Welling's dolls. Give me time to hunt up the book and see if this doll is pictured. Here are a couple of webpages with Norah Welling dolls:

Found the book, this Dutch boy doll isn't in it. On looking at the detail of this one, it appears definitely not to be a Norah Wellings doll. Her dolls were made with detailed hands showing fingers, most it not all were made with velvet, d handpainted head/face with stockinet molded faces, and ears.

I think it might be a Dutch doll

It does have the pouty lips of Lenci dolls, but not sure if enough detail or if the sideways glance is quite right?

Definitely not Lenci.....not sure who made this doll tho. Not even close to quality of a Lenci. Did you look for clothing tags?

My dumb question #8256  --

Why do the pants look so "chewed up" (to me they don't look like wool) and the jacket and shoes/slippers which do look like they have the "possibility" of being woolen (felt???) appear to be intact???
