Should have brought it to York, it would fetch just below melt.:D

I see there is a link in that site to the Bonhomme Richard which lies off the coast near me, captained by that other traitor John Paul Jones.

Well, i am not a silver person but has to think the Americana aspect is what makes it so valuable, just the name is a BIG DEAL.

lol, oh Lord! somehow, i doubt that, even in York! :hilarious:

Fascinating video. Thanks for posting it. @kyratango note he is wearing white gloves. No black fingers or smudges on the item for him.

OTHER traitor? Oh right, I see now where you live. Revere is revered over here, of course. Not to mention he is considered a master in his craft. His extra- curricular activities don't hurt the going price, either. This is museum quality stuff.

    I didn't mean Revere.
John Paul Jones was a traitor along with George Washington who also changed sides.
Jones was in the British Merchant Navy and murdered a fellow crew mate and absconded to the Americas.
Washington was in the employ of the British Army fighting the French, you know what happened next.

I'd say they ALL changed sides, we were british subjects until 1776 or when Cornwallis surrendered, whichever one prefers.
