Solid Brass Angel? Putty? Cherub, What for?

    This guy is 5 3/4" tall. felt bottom, no markings. He weighs almost two lbs.

    There are ways to apply Brass like coatings over plaster - can you scratch a small line on the bottom? If brass it will show a yellow color, if coated plaster it will obviously show white.

    He's crying, so I would say it is Cupid rather than a cherub. A putto does not have wings. Industrial strength paperweight is all I can think of for a use.

    It is brass. has some scratches already and shows yellow.
