This is the largest of 3 soapstone(?) pieces that have been passed down to me recently.
They were my grandmother's, so I suspect pretty old. Can see birds and flowers. I read somewhere that the closed vessels in the piece were to hold ink to be dipped into by a brush. Can anyone shed some light on this and help with further identification? I do not know what to do with them.
    Thanks in advance. IMG_3556.jpeg IMG_3558.jpeg IMG_3560.jpeg

Let me just say that trying to find an age for something because it was your grandmother's isn't great. She could have picked it up at any point in her life. I'm 75 and I'm always amused when young people date an item as an antique that came from the 60s or 70s because that doesn't seem so long ago to me! Pre-1924 is officially antique right now.
