Snake Belt Italy

Hi,
I thought this would be the forum to ask about this cool snake belt I have.
Marked Plaza Genuine Leather Made in Italy, 38"L, gold coloured metal - I found a silver coloured one on 1stdibs for some crazy price and they had it from the 1980s, does that seem right?
any information appreciated.

30" seems a bit short for the 1980s. Belts were worn at top of hips; not at the waist. 1970s, perhaps.

I know I had several belts like that in the 80's. Not snake, but that style.
That's a great thought about the length of the belt though, Deborah, and so true, but I wonder if the actual size is 30" or the entire belt length is 30"?

Well then, 1980s is a good bet.
