    Hi Folks-
Can anyone help me identify the maker of this glass decanter? It's a smoky gray in some lights and purple in others. Height is about 8". Ground and polished pontil. No marks. The stopper is solid. Thanks in advance. DSCN8507.JPG DSCN8508.JPG DSCN8509.JPG DSCN8510.JPG

I wonder if it is Holmegaard? I bet you see amethyst when you hold it up to the light. Lovely!

Thanks guys. Yes, you see amethyst when it's held up to the light. It's very strong, the color, but my camera won't capture it.

Anyone know if Holmegaard was known not to sign a piece?

It's close. The base has a different shape and so does the stopper. Where do they get these attributions? If it has a label say so. Thanks, though.

I have had pieces that were Holmegaard with a sticker/label but no acid etched signature anywhere.
