Small wooden object-tool?

It looks and feels antique (well to me) It obviously looks like a unfinished wine goblet. But it looks used and well handled (there’s grime/dirt built-up where it was held) Maybe some kind tool or press /stamp object or something? It’s solid wood and stands 12cm tall and is between 6,5- to about 7cm
    wide at the ends.

    So maybe is was supposed to be goblet before someone started using it for something else? Thank you and keep well

    I would say it is for similar use as a Darning Mushroom

    Thank you for the reply. Could possibly be. I was also looking at that previous but decided it should have been more rounded?

    It looks like a stone carver's mallet to me.

    Thanks for commenting. Maybe,I will search accordingly. Not sure about the handle part? Does it possibly look antique to you?

    Yes it does. There is nice wear, and the dark colour is from handling it for a long time.

    It might be a pattern for a metal goblet, used in a sand casting technique.
    Pewter objects have been made using sand casting.
