Featured Small Still life Oil Impossible sig?

    Hi all.
    Any help with this signature would be appreciated.
    It is oil on board 9 1/2" x 4"

    I keep reading Avignon, which is probably wrong. Or Aurignac, probably wrong too.
    I guess I just want to go on holiday to France.:)

    Hi,
    Getting a vibe from a factory painted piece. It just looks wrong for some reason. JMHO.

    That's because if that apple softens - even slightly - that bowl is going to be clangalangalanging off that surface!

    Thanks for trying. I knew it was going to be a tough one. I wasn't really thinking factory greg, but it does kind of have that look.

    Mike, I've enlarged & stared at that sig many times now, and all I'm STILL seeing is Christmas ribbon candy!
