I see 8 but the rest is so badly struck.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Everything to the right of the 8 is a hallmark/trademark.

I've heard of many fineness marks. I've never heard of one called 830.

    There's 800. And 935. 925. 900. 950. I've never heard of 830.

Did not some Nordic countries use 830 in the past?
I am not sure if this is 830, I think I'm seeing that number. I am not even sure if it's solid but to me looks like it is.

I think some DID use 830, but don't ask me to name them! I couldn't remember!! Hahaha. It looks like a silver serving-bowl or dish rather than a tray. If it is solid silver, it'd be spectacular :)

Yes, Scandinavian countries long used 830 silver.

Generally, '830' silver would be Scandinavian/Nordic (Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Icelandic, and later, Finnish), Portugal has also used that fineness fairly recently, and it was used by some German makers in the 1920s -30s. That is a really badly chattered mark, but believe it is German, typical Baroque style piece made by Waldstetten manufacturer Emil Hermann...
