Featured Small round table

    I’ve had this for some time, it’s a useful size so I kept it. It was bought from a jumble sale. Reminds me of a pub table. It’s 20 and a half inches diameter, 22 inches tall. I’m thinking it’s oak on the top, don’t know about the rest of it, probably shed made, nailed and screwed together. Any ideas about date please? Not a lot of wear on the feet but the top looks old and possibly hand done due to the surface but the rest looks machined? Cobbled together? I don’t know much about furniture. Thanks

    Top does look like oak. Rest is something more nondescript. Maybe beech? All looks to be hand planed. Have to think this was done for a desired look. I am seeing striaght machine made saw marks. The multi-board top indicates that this is probably not ancient.

    Good Lord-A young chap in Ireland came here a while back because his kin were burning some of the old (OLD) family furniture-not donating,selling-burnin'!
    PS-Sorry to interupt,but to a Yank-it was like torching a damned museum.
