Small Oil Painting - Help With Signature/Artist Please!

I found this small painting, it is oil on wood. All I know is that it has been framed in England between 1912 and 1922, as the Gallery that is mentioned on the backside label existed only in these years at the place given as address. (I had to remove the frame as it was in a very bad condition.) Hovever, the scenery looks not English, but more like the Alps to me. Can anyone read the signature or knows something about the artist? And do you think it is just a souvenir painting?

Looks a bit like the Jungfraujoch.

Switzerland was popular with Edwardian travellers, till the First World War put a stop to casual tourism.

Therefore it is probably pre 1914, and would I think be catalogued simply as European school.

 

Thank you, afantiques for identifying the place, it is certainly that mountain! I just looked again on the internet and I believe I found the painter! I think the signature is of Hippolyte Roux, a French painter, born 1852, who was living in Switzerland. So that would fit! Maybe it is just a souvenir, but I like the atmosphere of the scene...

Thank you, I was also very happy, I didn't expect he was a listed artist, but he is in Benezit. I also found out that he died in 1941...
