    I think it is Canfield?
    The artwork measures 4" x 12"
Maybe someone might know who this artist is.

Bev aka thelmasstuff Colored pencil artist extraordinaire ;)

There are numerous artists with the last name Canfield. I'd have guessed this to be sofa art, but if you know of an artist with that name who paints like this, I'm willing to see it.

No i have not seen any like this with the same sig. There is an oil on board on Ebay of an ocean wave scene, but the seller doesn't show any pics of the signature. So an unknown?
Well I only paid 5.00 for it so I think I might be able to get my money back selling it.

I think I recently saw a cottage scene with that signature but I passed on it. If I remember right the reason was because I thought it is a sofa art. How is the canvas on the back like? If you can see the paint edges, straight and neat lines usually point to a mass produced art.

Can't help except to agree that the name is probably Caulfield. Otherwise, the "N" is backwards.

My bad, did not see the board part.
Wow at some of the prices for a factory painting.

They can ask what ever they want. look at completed listings. none sold or are selling

Maybe ill just list it with a low bin. should sell if others are looking at all the higher priced ones and see one for way less.

    Sounds like a good approach.

What's disturbing to me is how many items came up in your search that have neither "caufield" nor "painting" in the title. :shy:

I checked out one of the listings that came up in your search, for a book about China.

The name "Caufield" is in small print as one of many people who reviewed the book. The word "painting" only appears in the *ads* at the bottom of the page... ads that are off-eBay "sponsored links."

Why eBay thinks that's useful to include in search is beyond me.
