This is the first piece of Moorcroft I've found. Could anyone confirm this as the Anemone pattern? I've found several different poppy patterns from online examples, but not a list of poppy patterns and their names.

Also, if anyone could help with dating it, I'd appreciate it. I'm guessing that it is the Walter Moorcroft mark circa 1947 - 1953, based on the list featured here.

I'm also curious if the small circular shape (about 8:00, next to the foot ring) is of any significance.

I think this is shape 32/5 (from a Moorcroft catalog I found online). It's 4.25" high, 5.5" in diameter.

Thanks! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I darkened this slightly so the impressed marks would show up. The signature is a dark blue, the same as the background glaze near the base.

Thanks, everyone! I was quite surprised to find it in a local thrift, sitting pretty among several cheap Made in China vases.

Thank you for the confirmation - I appreciate the help.

Nice find. It's a fifty to eighty pounds at auction lot here. But I'd keep it.
