Small glass figurine. Cute but who or what or where ?

    A Jimmy Durante hippie teddy bear ? (I guess mentioning him dates me!) I think it's a teddy, some say poodle.
    Anyway, I'm curious to know if it might be attributable to some maker, some country, some company, some time period.
    It's 3" tall (7.3cm), 2.5" wide (6.5cm) and about 1.5" thick (3.5cm) at one of the feet (more at the nose).
