So today I found these. Sales rep. Told me they were costume and sold for $1. Think she needs to consider a career change. Not very valuable but always a pleasure to hunt.

.950 Mexico, I figure the stone to be black onyx, guessing the brown to be jasper, am I right on that one? Any decade in the style?

Interesting. Wonder where the ram that lost his horns is?

    Mahogany obsidian and not jasper.

Thank you Debora, was just wondering, this site states that after 1950, Mexico stamped “sterling” on most silver. That said, I did read the word “most silver” in there. :)

Being Aries, I completely understand a Ram giving up everything he has if the women so desired of him. ;)

I'm guessing the set is 1980s or later, and factory-made.

I haven't run across anyone using 950 in Mexico since the fifties.

I've seen plenty of it, and these aren't made like old pieces. The construction methods, design and markings are all fairly recent. OTOH for a whopping dollar, who cares?

Clip-ons could be earlier. Depends on scale. Smaller earlier. Larger later. But that bold colorway certainly looks 1980s.

My guess is late 70s, but it doesn't really matter, they are gorgeous, and for $1! I love the bold shape.

Like the bold shape too. I'd call it a horn or a wing. And they polish up beautifully.

I'd agree with Debora on the dating, screams 1980s. I like clips. I like those.

I don't have holes in my ears, just in my head, so I'd at least try those. I happen to prefer screwbacks. That set would sell easily if it went up for a reasonable price.

Jivvy the research is my favorite

I would have thought older than everyone else, but it doesn't matter because I would buy them because they are awesome. And I have double-pierced ears -- not much use for clip-ons.

    But they're awesome. :woot:

I havent a clue what a reasonable price for clip-on earings would even be. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: My ear is pierced too so I have no need for these let alone a pair ;) Going to throw the 3 pieces up for like $10 and lower it from there if they dont sell.

I personally have never wore any jewelry, just not my thing :).... but I like Any Jewelry :) :)

On ebay? Think should get multiple auction bidders at that price. If doing a BIN or in other retail sales venues, I would say at least 3X that.
