Small English Watercolour - Help with Signature Please!

    I found this little watercolour in a thrift store, it shows a place in Yorkshire called Staithes. It is dated 1952 on the back, and there is written also the name of the place and another word that looks like Tuesday (????). The painter has signed with a monogram, has anyone an idea who could be it? And what do you think of the quality? I am not sure if this is by a professional painter or just some amateur...

    It does look like Tuesday and I can confirm it is Staithes which is just 70 miles (112k) from me.
    Real photo of the location below.
    Can`t help with anything else.

    No not really, its only a small tidal harbour on the North Sea, not like the Thames.

    Thank you all, and sorry for replying so late! Daveydempsey, you must have taken your photo from the exact position where the artist has been painting the watercolour! And it really hasn't changed at all! And Mill, thank you for the link, there are really similarities to the monograms there. A pity that that site requires a membership...
