Small Chinese Folding Screen

    The panels? Hard to say what they are made of from the pics - the engraving looks hand-done although done with an electric driven graver ...
    I'm partial to Chinese woodwork so I always like the craftsmanship shown in this type of thing - sometimes the panels are hardstone or silk work ..no matter, I think the woodwork is lovely.
    It doesn't really have any age of course, but so what? It is predominately handmade in an age where hardly anything is, so it does have some intrinsic value ..to me at least, not sure if the phone generation would feel the same way.

    Yep decorative to make it look like ivory. Not exactly sure what the material is though.

    Very cute kard. Love the carved rosewood frames. Yes, the panels are faux.
    Faint stripes of faux ivory.;) The stripes look like the ones in celluloid faux ivory. China still manufactures some celluloid, so that is what the material could be.
