    They look like the drawers to a sewing machine cabinet that have been fastened together.

    It's the fact that each drawer appears to lock that makes me think druggist, although of course spices can also be highly valuable.

    Hi,
    It is INDEED a box made from sewing machine drawers. I made several in the 1960s. Sewing machine cabinets were so cheap almost giveaways. In the 1970s the fancy cabinets started to rise in price. The 1980s were more with the iron frames with a glass top.

    Interesting. Not all the pictures showed up for me the first time.

    Agree sewing machine drawers.
