small black with colorful flowers painted on a basket 13b

I have a small black with colorful flowers painted on a basket. The dimensions are 6 ¼” x 4 ¾” x 3 ¾” I was wondering origin of country, how old, type of wood used in making it and worth. Thank you for your assistance in this request. Rob

 

duplicates of all your baskets are on a shelf at my local thrift store....

My parents got all of these at an auction in the 1990s. I do not know if I live near you or not.

Maybe there was something else in the lot they wanted? Or they were purchased for a special event of some sort, as decoration. Then again I don't know much about baskets.

 

I have a 1978 needle art picture that I will put up. It was inherited by my mom from her Aunt. I hope someone appreciates seeing it. I think there might be a couple of wicker items that may have value like the parrot tray. I saw one like it about $40 on ebay.
