Sitting Cat Artist???

Hello everyone, I am wanting to identify an artist or any information for these interesting sitting cat statues with their tongues out. It is a hollow body structure all the way up to the ears, maybe its a ceramic or plaster? Any info would be great, Thank you!!

 

do they have a bottom?

 

Size? Do they feel light? It's just that home crafters did stuff like this with Holland Molds and such. Those ones are usually about 9-12" high.

 

Thought I was going to see a painter sitting on a cat.

Hey what's up? Nice lazer cats. Been doing some research. These molds were originally produced by a company called Albertas molds in the 60s and 70s. The masters were later sold to a company called mackey molds, who seems to either not have them anymore or is for some reason totally unwilling to produce more. Trust me, I tried.

Is one of those metal? A buddy has 3 of the ceramic ones, I've managed to get my hands on a super heavy plaster one also. Definitely looking for more, if you have any leads let me know.

 

Hello everyone, the reason I made the post was to find out more information on these cats. I used to own one but it was not as large as I believe the originals are. I was trying to find some more information so it may be easier to track down another one. Thank you for everybodies responses!

 

Thank you so much for sharing your research! I haven't been able to find much of anything online. Honestly the pictures are of ones available for sale, but I figured it would be way cooler to find one before I buy one. If I find anything else or someone reproducing them I will post and let you know!
