    Hi all,
I picked up this tray, wondering if I should take it apart and put the design that is showing on the back and switch it to the front? The only thing stopping me so far is the back design isn't varnished like the front pieces. It should come apart easily, it was dropped (not by me:)) and the end piece came off, it had been glued in place so I'm assuming the other pieces have been glued also.
    Any thoughts appreciated
    thanks for looking:)

i can't say for sure...but one would varnish the whole top of the tray and let the wood breath from the back...

    ALSO......& here's a TIP....

Red cedar wood is full of oils you do not want to get on your food...
So any food bowl or container made to hold food...would never be made of red cedar...only non porous hard woods.
