The beads are about 0.170" diameter; many show imperfect (off-center) drilling, which is accentuated by being so tightly strung that the string of them is a bit stiff. No knotting, obviously, an' no clasp; The finishing knot is well hidden, an' no glimpse of the stringing material is afforded here.
Is this the work of a particular place, or a more generic example of simple coral beading? Is there any age to them? Thanks for lookin'!

Are you sure they're coral? Color-wise they look more like conch shell, but the texture doesn't look right for either. If it is coral, it is poor quality.

    I like your dime too.

Are you able to get a sharper close up photo of the beads please?

I don't think its coral either.
Could it be some type of dyed stone? Lack of a clasp also speaks to low quality.
    I also like the dime!

I'm not sure they're coral. I'll get a couple better pics in here soon.

Also, please, some of the info you can get but we can't with only photos to go by. Surfaces rough/smooth/mixed? Heavier/lighter for size than expected?

Doesn't look like coral or shell to me either. They look like a strand of those 1980s stone beads that were meant to be twisted and clipped together. Most of those were dyed random pretty colors.

All of 'em are smooth enough to call polished, 'tho not mirror-smooth; the string weighs 21.4g...enough to seem slightly heavy, but that's so subjective as to be a useless observation.
