So I got a good one for you all.

Recently I sold a Silverplate humidor, photographs represented well.
Buyer receives the item and I get this message:
    Hello,

I've left ++ feedback, but was disappointed in the loss of patina on the item. I've had these before and they are usually less worn, the pictures didn't really show how dark it really was,

    Just wanted you to know,

    My reply:
Sorry to hear this, you say loss of patina but then again says it is dark? The dark is the patina. So to say the least I am confused. You can Polish it if you want it less dark? Sometimes the photos can only show so much due to lighting. Thanks for letting me know.
    His reply:
NO, silver plate has a shine to it , see others below, they plating is mostly gone

    My reply:
Silverplate has a shine to it if you polish it. It has merely tarnished over the years. Most people like the tarnished look. Get yourself some silver polish and a rag it will polish right up just like the ones that you have shown me. I've been an antique dealer for 30 years and have many pieces of silver plate look the same way until polished.

    I was flabbergasted....lol

Looks like a lovely piece, shiny or not. What a very strange buyer that was!
