    Dear Friends,
I have a silver Wine bottle holder and has these markings on the inside. I am trying to discover if it is worth anything and who made it. Any help would greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the Forum, Michael!

Can you please show the entire coaster?

Michael, would you be kind enough to post a photograph of the entire piece? And a new photograph of the marks; they can't be read at that angle. (That said... I think I can make out the word "plate" which would likely effect your item's value.)

First of all, thank you for taking the time to respond. I am truly grateful.
It looks like it says Artfare Silver but not sure. I am sure if it is just plated it would have little value.

The better the images, the better we can help you!! Thank you!!:happy: And I see you just did that.....couldn't really improve the marks on editing either.....but there are some others who may still be familiar with them! COOL looking wine holder any way!!! First one's inverted.....

What are the measurements? Looks more like it held a glass insert for condiments, celery or some such rather than a wine bottle.

"Quadruple Plate" was in use late 1800s into the early 1900s. The plated surface does not give this item any intrinsic value.

Nevef mind I found it. It was an American company in PA. Again, thank you!

What is a beautiful thing! Silver plate can still be surprisingly valuable depending on the maker and the rarity of the item - though obviously not as valuable as if it were made from silver.

Quadruple plate can be a tough sell, unless there's something particularly desirable about it. The name might sell it here; I live in Hartford County in CT. It wouldn't be for a lot though with the insert gone.
