Silver Tool - Need Help Identifying This Please

  1. Hi Guys,

I found this silver tool at an estate sale and would like to know what this is? The round handle on top pulls the center rod with the hook up and down. The name on the top of round piece says "Rugby". I agree, it's an old syringe, missing the inner glass barrel.
And it may be silver-colored but it's not silver.

You can buy them brand new today - don't know if yours is vintage or not.

Definitely not the same item but I recently came across this Gorham sterling "Martini Spike (Vermouth Dispenser)" and it made me think of this thread!:hilarious:
