Thanks! It was worth the wait. The author of the article was Walton's friend Dr. B.K. Wilbur, the clip was taken from the granddaughter's thesis - in her epilogue, she describes finding his descendants in San Diego, including his son, born in 1899, who spent his early childhood in Sitka. They rekindled the family friendship, and shared memories, photos, etc., along with 20 pieces of Walton's silverware that had been misplaced for years...
