Silver thing me bob

I've had this silver thing for a while now and haven't really bothered finding out what it is or what it might be used for .Any ideas? it's about 2"in circumference. Thanks in advance.

You're certain there are no teeny tiny marks on the bottom?

Silver and salt don't mix, King. It would have to contain a glass insert - and the irregular shape of the opening would not accommodate one.

Yeah. heehee I did find it - just took me a while.

 

I just took my measuring tape and made a 2" circ ring - I don't think it would even fit on my finger.
If this is that small, it would almost have to be for a doll house or the like.

Oh, yipes, my English hiccupped again... I translated that as DIAMETER... yeah, 2 " circumference *IS* tiny.

 

Radius is half the diameter.

It looks like it might have been a sewing needle sharpener. I have a tiny egg shaped one. It held sand and emory with a cloth cover. You would stick your needle in it to sharpen it a bit.

Thanks bakersgma.sadly there are no silver marks .thought it might come from an eastern country.?
