Silver Silverplate Snail Feet Embossed Bowl Looks Old

    The bowl is 3" X 6" I am trying to get a good image of the maker Help with ID and Age Style

    Did you find any marks?

    Adding:
    If you haven't found any, polish the piece. Alot of times the marks show up after a piece has been polished.

    Hard to say whether there's much plating left. But start with the underside, where the mark, if any, is most likely to be.

    'Quadruple Plate 4818' - would date to right around the 1890s...

    does the top have it's original shape, was it originally round.

    The crimped rim and feet, which may represent snails or might be just a coil motif, are simply decorative elements. As Komo suggests, it was most likely sold as a bon-bon or small nut dish...
