Silver ring, I think? Marked S & Co

    I picked this up the other day because it just looked rather interesting.
    Have seen layered Sterling rings before, but not hinged. Is it a ring?
    Marked 925 and S & Co. Any information is greatly appreciated.
    It measures as a size 6 and almost 1/4 oz. weight.
