Silver picture back teaspoons

Hi I’m looking for some info on the following collection of 6 teaspoons. The marks I can work out are crown, lion, letter B - I am right, that this indicates 1944 as the year? The makers mark is the part I’m struggling with as it’s not clear on any of the 6 spoons. Possibly RD&B or RB&D or Maybe PB&D, PD&B. I’d like some advice about the possible value of the set as i intend to resell them. Also confirmation on the date and any other useful information would be a great help

Your estimation of the date is correct.

Now, I've been through all the makers listed in Sheffield with 3 initials that start with B, D, P and R in the format you describe and cannot find anyone with the letters inside a shield shape.

But Thomas Bradbury and Sons Ltd. did have a T.B & S in a shield until 1944. Is it possible that first letter is a T?

I tried to edit a bit but it looks like the top letter starts with T and the bottom letter starts with A maybe. TR AW? TB &W
