Featured Silver overlay glass bowl help please

    My husband found this silver overlay glass bowl and would love to try and get some more info on it. It’s numbered on the bottom with “3175”, but other than that we don’t know a whole lot and we can’t find anything similar.
    Any information is greatly appreciated.

    @Sara Brady, Have you gently tried cleaning just to the left of that 'ding' in the rim?? It "looks" like there might be symbols or writing there! And did you check inside the rim as well?

    I looked around the top edge and found the numbers 259 (we looked under a loupe to verify, and we’re quite certain that’s what it is), and next to it says Sterling.

    The silver overlay looks like something Rockwell would have done.
