I looked at the marks of this. I assumed it was Gorham. Anchor Lion Passant and a capitol A. But to the left of those marks is LC&S. Any ideas?

Not Gorham (which would have a G and not an A.) Looks like English sterling from a Birmingham maker.

    Hi,
A nice Scottish napkin ring. Not turquoise but marble or agates from Scotland

    Yes, 1925, but I haven't been able to find a Birmingham-registered maker L C & S. Tried 3 sites without results.

The red stone is rhodonite, but the piece is in sad shape due to a botched attempt of repair

    Bakersgma, they don't know either!

Holly, I might just scrap it. It is in sad shape.

Instead of LC&S, I think the mark reads "J.C&S" for Joseph Cook & Son of Birmingham. The leg of what looks like an L is really the period after the J. According to the following silver marks site, this mark for the Joseph Cook & Son company was registered in 1889. Their mark has been found on "Book mark, button hook, hat pin, **napkin ring**, spoon, vesta."

    About the 13th mark down:

One of their napkin rings for the Scottish market:
