    Hi
I found these 2 religious in relief pieces at a local thrift yesterday. The last supper needs work but is still nice.
The Jesus in relief is beautiful. An unusual thing though is on the back it says it was made in Spain- and then it has Casa Rodriguez Solar AND some kind of serial number?
Living in Miami I know casa is house or home, so I know this is from the house of Rodriguez Solar (is it like french or italian designer pieces - like house of Gucci ?), but I couldn't find a Rodriguez Solar?
Is it backwards like some foreign names - Solar Rodriguez?
Does the serial number mean anything/ make this special?
Any information is greatly appreciated, guys!

    Here is the last supper.
Are these made from aluminum? How old are they?
    Thanks again!

Soler, not Solar. It was incorporated in Puerto Rico.

The title on the Last Supper looks like Italian to me, unless the words are the same in Spanish.

It's in Spanish (but with the accent on the Us left out), as Jesus would be Gesù in Italian

    I don't know what you mean, Bronwen.

As journey said, it was made in Spain. The label says 'fabricado en España' = 'made in Spain', number P.R.1012, 'en exclusiva para' = 'exclusively for' Casa Rodriguez Soler.

Ah, I see, that explains it, thanks kyra.
So made in Spain exclusively for Casa Rodriguez Soler in Puerto Rico?

It's "Rodriquez Soler," the paternal surname followed by the maternal surname. And, no, "Casa" doesn't apply exclusivity or hand-craftsmanship, more like a small family enterprise.

Tons of these to be found on todocoleccion.net web site. I think those with elaborate frames would be most desirable (if there's a market at all.) If I had to guess at date of yours, I'd think 1970s; could be wrong but certainly post-war (and that's Spanish Civil.)
